In late 2021, I released the 'Winter, Gesture' EP. This first half of the first track, 'Winter Heart' involved a few lovely musicians - Simeon Walker on Piano and Ruby Lulham on Clarinet.

When Simeon recorded the piano part for Winter Heart, he also sent over a solo piano version which, until now, has sat on my computer - almost forgotten about.

Being a bit of a romantic, I decided it would be nice to release this solo piano version exactly one year after the original was released.

Simeon's version of Winter Heart deftly and subtly incorporates the clarinet and ondes Martenot parts from the original. After listening to it over the last month or so I have found it to be a perfect accompaniment to the sights and sounds of wintertime, and I hope you think so, too.
